Better than you think.

Specifically written for therene contest persona.

Ego! Never at par with being mellow.
And the individuality of such fellow, so obvious like a yellow glow.
And this fit hold not so good a note.
Always as such, when the negative side is spiralled into.
And such you hold, is that hope of not wanting to descend so low.
But that same height, you've been hanging for quite a while.
But the negative side, a splendour to always explore.
To discover, is the path to springing high in a short while.
A secret to being the shine in a dark universe.
Now you see, you are better than what you think.
So egoistic, but there you are; dancing, swimming in peace, among super human being.
And those character flaws you exploit.
An unlimited carriage to the realm you dreamed off.

So therene;
I look into your eye i see your ego,
Shining over your self doubt shadow,
You've got a name; to applaud, perfecto!
So see beyond what other think.
And let your ego take you to where you seek.

It is interesting to consider the ego as being a beneficial factor to ones self. Usually an ego is thought of as a character flaw, especially when it is overwhelming. You made me rethink that idea and realize how important it is to have a least a little bit of an ego in order to exist with confidence and pride. Well done.

Ego we have, ego we need .. when it balances with self-doubt or humility, it has a place in character.
