Too Far from Autumn's Reign

Too Far from Autumn's Reign

A Poem by Desert Knave
"

A little tribute to a friend

"

It's quiet where my Muse once danced

The reason seems so plain ...

As through the years I've wandered

Too far from Autumn's reign.

A rather well constructed almost Shakespearean, piece with such a pathos in it's lonely echoes.

Thank you !
Times, people, events memorable, are so worth gentle and seemingly happy words. For me, however, the phrases say more than they display... perhaps.

A lovely thank you.. and undoubtedly much appreciated.
dear Jim... wandering through the autumn of our years... there is a quiet of golden colors etched with memories of where we once danced... beautiful and soft as geese returning to warmer climes. truly, Pat

Thank you so much ! ~Jim
The concept of a muse dancing is excellent. Autumn's reign? Not quite sure what that means, but yes, the years do change everything. Always a pleasure to read you, Jim. Lydi**
