Proper Paperwork (For War)

thoughts on war and related subjects

War on nature
the sixth extinction
big corporations rule the world
crimes against nature
crimes against humanity
but they have the proper paperwork

War on people
war on drugs
war on so called terrorists
but can't you see
these wars are on ourselves
against "We the People"?

Too much propaganda
I don't know who to believe
media telling lies
drowning out the real voices

I see destruction
oil spills
nuclear disasters
mountaintop removal
disappearing rivers
polluted air
poisoned food
but they are earning record profits

profit justifies any wrong
change the laws
to cover the crimes

the right paperwork... yep. reminds me of a place I once worked. They tried telling me that even though It might seem unethical, it was still legal. If I filled out the paperwork correctly I could make lots of money. NO I did not stay there.. I quit that job as quickly as I could. This piece speaks for so many other things than you could include... you could probably write a book.

My Dear Writing Friend Desert Dreamer,
A powerfull write that is saturated in truth. I often think there must be a special place in Hell that is extra hot for those who are responsible. Those who are raping the earth, poisoning the creation, slaughtering the indigenousness, and the list goes on.
And the media keeps pushing its self on us with its propaganda; I posted a poem titled “The Flat Screen God” about this sinister monster. Will mankind survive this insanity so just a few can stockpile treasures at the expense of Mother Natures and the rest of us, we the small voices with little say?
Your poem inspired me to write a new poem titled “F… The Earth Over”. Thank you for your inspiration.

Reminds me of so many of my past jobs. Your third stanza sums up the press nicely and the conclusion of your final stanza is right on! good write.

" We The People" are so busy trying to fulfill our own selfish, wants , needs and desires; that we fail to realize the damage being done. unfortunately the realization will go unnoticed until it is entirely too late~~

Its hard to rail against what you know is wrong when you don't have access to all the facts. So much is hidden from the public nowadays, its criminal and a few generations ago, people would never have stood for it.

Yep..."We the People"..only we don't know how to fight the war being waged against us...there are enough fed up with the way things are going, but we just keep electing the same ones over and over...and they keep doing the same things over and over...or the good ones are crucified before they get a chance to change anything. Read a senator's remarks a while back that said he didn't care what his people said he would vote the way he wanted to...and you know he can legally do that... Very thought provoking poem

ah yes - the war on paperwork - the self-decalred wars - announced by the media in an attempt to drum up some support - any potential crisis - shove "war on" in front to make the discrepancies more acceptable - after all who would begrudge a war! propaganda indeed - the destruction of nature - of humanity - but slap a war on the front - no longer a crime but a necessity - profit for what? an eternal loss? nice musings!
