One More Chance

Standing still in the middle of a dead town

missing all the familiar faces I once knew.

taking small steps, the memories of us fades away

I stare up at the sky, looking for an answer,

answer me answer me,

time goes still and the loneliness becomes familiar,

I feel I've been left behind.

what am I suppose to do?

everything is going to be okay.

We can start anew

as long we end this chapter,

we can move on

as long we find acceptance,

the world keeps moving forward 

but the longer I stand still 

I begin to lose myself.

The world seems an empty place,

but I know is not supposed to be this way,

the darkness within me always tries to break free,

but if I accept my demons,

am I strong enough to conquer them?

There's a hesitation in my heart

a fear of the unknown,

I know there's relationships of every kind,

I may not fully comprehend,

I'm not sure if I'm ready to let go,

I may not have all the right answers,

but I hope one day I can find my light.

Happiness only comes from within,

I fear what awaits for me,
I'll keep moving forward
in search of reconciling with myself.
