The Dark of War

The Dark of War

A Poem by DevKass92
"

A short commentary on the state if war.

"

Battalions-full, an army led

Troops behind troops, with no fear or dread

Stomping in unison, marching ahead

            Ready to fight

            To end all fights

Rockets boom overhead

Underneath, soldiers lie dead

Bright blue turned dark red

For if Peace is your freedom

            Then War is my right

Pain and violence bred

To die in war with words unsaid

Prolonging the Freedom for which your ancestors bled

            The end is the beginning-

            There is no Light

You defined war with a honest pen. I saw the great cities of Iraq. Before and after the wars. Great cities destroyed and the people are homeless. No-one wins in war.

The above lines are true. We mark our soldiers with murder and death. Expect them to be okay. Thank you for sharing the powerful and worthwhile words. I liked them.

War had no winners. Just tattoo our world with anger and blood. You are welcome.
