Seasons and Emotions

Seasons and Emotions

A Poem by TheChosenOne

Is the world different for melancholy and joy?
Does the rain fall differently for each one of us?
Or is it just life, playing games with our mind?
Whatever the reason, it does affect us.

For the jubilant, the sun is an invitation outside,
To run and shout and laugh with joy,
The rain is the time when we ought to get wet,
Nothing to them, can possibly annoy.

For the sad, the clouds are more prominent than ever,
Casting a shadow so there's nowhere to hide,
The rain is just a reminder of the pain they feel,
The tears their heart sheds inside.

But be it sun or clouds or rain,
Life isn't meant to be simple,
The trick is to go with the flow, however hard,
Don't let your emotions make you cripple.

Sadness and happiness are just parts of life,
Leaving us sometimes confused,
Emotions are like that - cunning and sly,
Don't let them get the best of you.
