A Time of Desperation

She’s the only thing that matters to me in this world

I love him

A life without her is unimaginable

But, I’m slowly beginning to turn away

We share an enduring bond

It’s not the love that’s fading on my end

I endeavor her every need--her every want

But the desire to fight and keep us together

I know I’ve made mistakes

It’s not about the broken trust

But we can fight through this

My faith in our future has demolished

I see life taking us so far

I see no us there

The journeys we will take

There is no us there

How much strength we will gain

The passion in this relationship no longer exists

The day we say, “I do” is one I’m counting down to

I cannot take the miserable days--weeks for much longer

We may be slipping today

We’re in a constant state of ruination

But together we can fight this

And I’m done fighting

We will overcome this chapter in our lives

I’m letting him go
