Candelabra

Candelabra

A Poem by Darkyshadow

Tonight
Half-lit matchstick on the floor
Which flares up this dying ore
Hapless I am, the man who holds
Miserable I am, the man who folds.

Yesteryear
Two half-lit matchsticks on the floor
Which blazed this definitive ore
Fortunate I was, the man who called
Ecstatic I was, the man who told.

Sooner
Unlit matchstick on the floor
Won't set fire to this fixed ore
Halfway I will, the man who'll prove
In the end I will, the man who'll move.
