Desolation

Desolation

A Poem by Dhes

lost in the middle of wilderness
escorted with her old friend,
darkness flames that burn should've been there,
to guide her trek back home.
yet it had gone out; turned to embers.
slowly dying in the midst of howling air,
drifting further away where she stood,
it'll be gone forever in the void.

Again. You create place, danger and place in so few words. Nice flow of thoughts led to strong ending. Thank you Dhes for sharing the excellent poetry.
