Learning Real Love

Learning Real Love

A Poem by DiamondNRough AKA Patty Rase Hopson

I came to you

broken and shattered.

With a life that seemed

to never have counted
or mattered.

Spending time with you

I learned things I never knew.

Like what Life is

really ment to be.

You opened your
heart and even your soul.

But still I didn't know how

to put the pieces together, to let mine go.

You showed me
your love in so many ways.

Many ways that I had never encountered.

I had trouble responding

since I was broken and shattered.

Your Patients was my endowment

You guided me still
helping me heal,

from being broken and shattered.

I will always treasure that

you seen something in me.

Something worth fixing and

something that mattered.

I will never forget
And will have no regrets that

I waited to Learn About Real Love,

only with you.

Because now I Know Love is Really True!
