Kali...Destroyer of worlds

Kali...Destroyer of worlds

A Poem by Dianah
"

Kali the destroyer is alive and kicking on the blue planet!

"

KALI...THE DESTROYER OF WORLDS

She said....

I am radioactivity

I am the intoxicated sea

I am the chemical cocktail you devour

I am the eleventh hour

I am the devourer of razor blades

I cut the cord as diversity fades

Your actions brought my rebirth

Welcome Kali back to earth.

She melts the ice with heated breath

dark eyes filled with scenes of death

turns fertile land to dust

bakes the earth, cracks the crust.

Killer queen feeds on wars and hate

She feasts on famine's daily plate

The seeds of destruction I watch her plough

Only love can stop her now.

Injustice reigns were Kali pours

Flooding deltas, killing more

Until we unite and take a stand

To banish Kali from this land.

This flows better than the writer's poem, "Wonder Land" (which has also kindly been added to my Group), and Kali sounds quite familiar to me. It was a powerful figure, from either Indian mythology, of some kind? I am sure that writer, is aware of the origin of this name? If memory serves me correctly, the mythical "Kali" was supposed to be a very destructive god or deity of some kind.

The poem has a sense of menace about it, as the writer must have intended? In other words, it has the very essence of evil! The words "I am" are repeated, presumably for emphasis? Either way, it certainly helps to make the evil Kali, sound slightly more formidable!

It is almost as if, mankind is being punished by Kali? For having behaved wrecklessly, with our planet's resources, perhaps? What do other readers think, I wonder? Also, feel free to add this to the "Beyond Fantasy" Group, where there is yet more writing, of a fantastic and imaginative nature!

Thankyou, Dianah! A worthy addition to my Group, "Twilight's Discples"!
