Coming Of Spring

Coming Of Spring

A Poem by Diane Lockard
"

Thoughts as I look out at the countryside....

"
"Wisps of clouds, grab the tops of the snow covered mountains
Grays, white, and a shallow band of blue dominate the sky.
Stark trees, waiting for spring; new life appears.
Wooly lambs, soon, gamboling in the fresh-smelling grass.

Ah the sound feel and smell of spring always makes me happy

The transition of one season to the next always sets me pondering life, marveling at nature's splendor, and even going inside myself in search of truth. A very nice poem, Diane.

Four lines and double impact. Theme's great and i can see some views of spring now, because it's now a days too warm and you made my night by this piece.

Thank you for your thoughtful words, and stopping by....
Diane
To me line 3 has a weakness... "new life appears," those words feel unjoined to the stark trees. A case of I understand (I think) what your thought was expressing, it's just the shorthand symbols left out a 'squiggle'.

You use some good imagery in this, but I think you ought to have expanded a little more. At present this is all a little nebulous and meaningless.
