Fallen One

Fallen One

A Poem by D. Nelson

"

Her day begins anew this once...
Her once bright eyes are filled with shame...
The strumming harps of angels cry...
She falls again before the light...
Her tempered soul goes further numb...
The goddess chokes on her own faith...

Her own truth has begun.

Her beauty silhouetted with fire
tearing ‘cross the horizon.
But this story will end as always...
Terribly.
She finds the final piece to her life,
but falls again before her time.

No more times of heavenly breeze that blow...
Through the timeless field she rose.
Now she lurks amongst the shadows,
she turns into the beast she always was.
The angel corrupt with demon’s lust...

Beautifully written...

Oh, what a sad tale to see one of light turn to darkness in the end. Vividly described - quite compelling.

It has this eeriness and, dare I say, creepiness. But it is beautiful at the same time. I love poems like that. This is really good. I can't wait to read more!

By the way, thanks for the review.

Wow! I really like this. It's so dark, yet it's beautifully written. Awesome!

I love it! It reads like a song. I'd listen... :)
