Live a rainy day

Live a rainy day

A Poem by Dinesh Sairam
"

Do you wish to learn how to live a rainy day?

"
The first November chilling rain
Has come upon my eaves.
The house of heaven pours again,
To touch and dust the leaves.

A lot of raindrops drench the ground;
Another on the trees.
A little sunshine comes around,
To rest in silent ease.

The cuckoos sing their endless song
And far the ravens caw.
In rainy days, the days are long,
In all of nature's law.

The clouds are like a dying rose;
The sky in grayish grow,
The Earth has bathed in sweet repose;
A rainbow up above.

A hearty hold of wishing yearn,
It passes by my way-
One more evening to watch and learn,
To live a rainy day.

a perfect rhyme except for the lines
The sky in grayish grow

A rainbow up above
try n adjust that.
the alliteration of grayish grow brings in a feel of the rainy seasonso try to change the other line.suggestion--
The clouds are like a dying rose;
The sky in grayish grow.
The earth has bathed in sweet repose
Embossing up above a rainbow.

Writing about nature is not bad for the health - health food makes me sick, though. This poem has a nice feel and sound. I especially like the first stanza. The only line that stands apart as something less than the others is 'the sky in grayish grow' - the syntax doesn't see quite right. In the same stanza the rhyme 'grow' and 'above' is weak - maybe you could adjust this a bit. Nice poem by any standards.

Beatifully written. Actually I think writting nature poems are a great way of experessing how nice our surrounings are and sometimes you forget that, until you read something as nice as this poem..

I love this as much as I love rainy days when I'm indoors and that's a whole lot! This is outstanding all the way around.

Ugh, I'm so jealous of your fantastic ability to conjure up imagery from simple words on a page.
