The Birth of My Salvation

The Birth of My Salvation

A Poem by Okorie, Joshua Promise
"

It's a poem describing how the birth of Jesus gave Life to mankind. It brought about man's salvation and redemption

"
*THE BIRTH OF MY SALVATION*

I felt reborn
I felt like a kid in my old age
My mind alert yet memories of before was fading into thin air
I was made into a blank slate waiting to be encrypted upon

The cold night breeze jerked me back to reality
My skin was pierced with hot tears as I remembered the price of my salvation on the cross
Yet my heart was filled with joy of his birth
The birth that gave birth to my salvation

It was a silent night
Where the shepherds put their head to rest at night
It was in a manger
At Bethlehem

He was a manger born and not a high born
Yet the stars moved and stood still at his birth
Men traveled juz to worship him
His birth gave me salvation

His birth redeemed me from inner turmoil
I was cursed without been cursed
For the first man sinned and we pay the price until redemption
I was living but dead within

*_I was a living dead_*

I was bound in chains because of a fruit which I never tasted
I became afflicted for dealings of which I am innocent...#sniffs#

Tears continued to drip
It lost it's intensity yet retained it's power
It became frozen with the cold night
For these were tears of joy

With his birth came redemption
With his birth was my salvation born
With salvation came freedom
Bound chains became broken chains

I became the living, freed from the shackles of death

*No longer the living dead*
