Sad Day

Why is it that the day that I'm feeling bad, 

Something happens to tear me apart?

I'm getting to it, just wait!

On a Sunday in April, I was happily swimming.

With my father and Stepmother that I really enjoy.

Going home to my mother's house, 

was always a pain.

I never got along with my mother. 

And she never treated me the way I want to be.

She always goes against me, when she should go with me.

So I was sad about leaving my good family behind,

When I got a text. From a friend.

She wanted me to check my email.

When I got home, and did,

She left a long message.

A long, annoying, rude message.

She didn't want to be friends anymore.

See? What did I tell you?

It was a very sad day.

Do you want to know what I did,

When everyone was gone to bed?

I cried myself to sleep.

A terrible way to sleep.

I was down for an entire week.

I wonder how that effected my grades...

Okay, a little stretch to the truth... A lot of this poem was true, but as usual, I made a bit of it up.

You don't need a comma or any punctuation at the end of every line. They should read like sentences. Other than that, I have nothing. I'm no good with poetry. :-/
