A New Hope

A New Hope

A Poem by DogDrawler

You're sitting in a dark corner
Depris and destruction surround you
You're about to die
It won't be long until... checkmate...

But what's this? You see...
...A light...
The light shouts:
"Come forth!"

You realize you are actually standing
You ask: "What do you want?"
It answers: "You have an affair to finish."
A flash of the brightest light blinds you in all directions

The next thing you know, you're in the dark corner again next to a familiar flag
You step up from the rubble and look at the sky
It is now dawn
You were just given a new hope... for all mankind to share
