Us

Us

A Poem by DogDrawler

We don't know it... yet
But it's us
We are destroying our world... ourselves... our conviction

We are like water down a waterfall
We run the course the river of fate has chosen for us
We all bring ourselves down until our end
And over time, we weather away the Earth
As this happens, the distance between the begining and end gets shorter
But... notice how we still flow after the waterfall
That's because there is hope...

You speak a strong voice in these words. I'm reminded of Garth Brook's "The River" as I read your ink. We are very much both the water and what sails upon it. We take the good with the bad and continue to drift, sail, paddle or swim, wherever the course is going to take us. Sometimes we have control, many times we don't. In the end, it's true, what carries us through is hope.

Great Ink! Thanks for sharing!
