Little people

Little people

A Poem by Annabelle Lee

All you attention starved little people
All you financially deprived little people
All you not-the-brightest little people
All you bullied little people
This one's for the little people

They tell you it gets better, and eventually it might
But I'm going to tell you what I know, because Annabelle doesn't lie
People are going to be a******s
That's just how it works
They can make it suck, but they can't make it hurt
You're the one who makes lemons out of sour lemonade
And you sit around and wait for someone else to save your day

All you attention starved little people
You aren't the only ones who hurt
I know it seems like they don't listen
But trust me, life could be worse

All you financially deprived little people
Just make sure you're still alive
You can get out of this on your own
But there are people around to help you try

All you not-the-brightest little people
It's not to late to learn
You don't have to be the smartest
To be given what you earn

All you bullied little people
The bullies won't stick around
Just make sure not to surround yourself
With people who want to put you down

To all the other little people
Because I know these aren't all of the cases
You're the ones who belittle yourself
And live with labels instead of faces

I totally love this poem.
There are too many people that enjoy the attention.
It gets too old honestly.
As the one of the comments say below, it mostly deals with maturing.
I absolutely agree with that comment too. It also does not stop as a teenager either.
There are adults that crave the attention.
I know that there are people that have worse off lives than most.
That is why I try to see the positive in life as much as possible.
I agree with this poem to a certain extent. There are some people that NEED and deserve that attention though. Not everyone deserves that attention that I am talking about though. Overall, nice choice of words. Great job at picking a topic that is not commonly used. The only problem that I saw wrong was that some of the lines were too long and then the others were shorter. I think you intentionally made it that way? If so, that is fine. Because it came from your heart, that will be okay.

Pity parties don't end with the teenage years but how to snap out of it and move on with your life comes with maturity. Life isn't easy...it's good to be prepared or at least ready for how you'll deal with adversity.
