In The Abstract

In The Abstract

A Poem by Dolce_Dragonfly

In the abstract I adore all things odd,
                                 old, and fabulously tragic.
And somewhere in that fallacy,

                    I met a handsome old man, around ninety-three.
He was as dark as ice, as cold as morning sand.
                       Strangely, He grabbed my hair, and kissed my hand.
        Softly, he then turned to me...
                                    and with a thunderous scream;
        shouted "let me out of this f*****g dream!"

Wow- I love that twist at the end...really surprising and wakes you up from the beautiful dreaminess of the former lines...especially: "He was as dark as ice, as cold as morning sand" Fantastic.

This is really good. I don't know what it means but it's great.
To be honest I hope it has a meaning and that you never reveal it,
cos that would ruin it

Hope that made sense
