Moon and Sun

Moon and Sun

A Poem by sedona._.arizona

Moon and Sun

You craved the darkness,
But you slept with the Sun.
You could've had a beautiful storm whenever you wished,
But you couldn't handle a little left over mud.

You had beauty in your hands.
Something to care for and value.
If only it were that easy.
You'd rather replace it over a minor hassle.

There is beauty to her darkness.
Noise in her silence.
If only she could tell you,
How you were her only brightness.

A quick jump across the Universe.
A small skip across the stars.
She wished you were here,
But you were off enjoying Mars.

She wished she were brighter.
More colorful and striking.
But her darkness was enough.
Just not for his liking.
