Krystal's Ode.

Krystal's Ode.

A Poem by Doodley
"

Words born from the depths of immense grief. We have all been here. Is it perfect? No. Repetitive? Yes, a little. When Words gush forth as these did, i feel no editing should be required.

"

The sombre night that fades away, to the dawn and the birth of a brand new day,
Where the splendour of nature combines in a gesture for one of a kind.

From the Valley's and Glacial streams, where the falls drop hollow tears,
And the flowers dance in limbo, in their solidarity, through the open fields of forever;

My fallin' star, from the broken waves of the iris of my soul comes a solitary soliloquy,
For the love of you, from the heart of me.

For in the dusk of the moonlight's glow, my fallin' star, I'll see and know,
that although we are apart, the gift of your memory is chained to my heart,
And never will it leave, as long as I know who I am, and who I'll be,
The face that now drifts upon the sea.

Broken glass from a shattered screen, a stolen hope from a bag of dreams,
Your legacy left a lily; alone, alone like me,
To weather the storms of all the days, to adapt to changing times and ways,
Heavy in heart and forlorn in mind, empty in words, in sight - blind.

For when my face drifts out to sea, and the tides collapse and overflow me,
The lily, begins to shrivel, fade and die.

My fallin' star; you were my hope, you were my sleep,
You were the earth below my feet and the Heavens above my grasp,
Alas, now taken, you leave a hole in the womb of my life.

Manana, Manana, was never mean't to be;
Although I should have, I just could not see.

Manana, Manana, for now you are free,
Free to soar across the boundaries of the universe, and into the realm beyond,
To form the star that once came down to me,
As a gift from the Angels of the Empyrean tree.

Manana, Manana, soar as the free,
Glide with the night, conceive with the moon,
Explode into a nova, a rainbow supernova,
And shine all your light down on the mourning heart of me.

Manana, Manana, How love brings great pain!
For when the life of earth, in it's light does strain,
Look for the face you knew, and you'll see,
That face will be smiling as it drifts out to sea.

A soliloquy is but a portion of me,
For the one that I love, and now forever, shall never be,
As close to my hands, as the waves to the sea,
For this is the torment of the heart within me.

Yes, its not stucturally perfect! I know that. With matters this personal, does it really have to be?
Any feedback or questions would be appreciated.

Beautiful, yet heartbreaking. We may never be physically close to a person who has passed ever again, but they are always with us in spirit. My stepfather passed away March 8. When I was 15 years old, he got with my mom. 16 years later, I read your poem exactly one day following his funeral, and my heart is ripped with the pain all over again. THAT is how meaningful your words are. Love.

Well that falling star will always fall from time to time - you must just keep wishing upon it and know at the right time and place- dear heart don’t lose hope- there’s a place and time for every thing and a season for all under the sun- rather wait for the perfect meant to be than accept less than you deserve- not always easy but will bring more peace - wish away- wonderful words🌹

Doodley,
I have come to find people's early writing to be very much desired so here I am reading yours. "Krystal's Ode" was so meaningful and took me to your place of precious response. "somber night fades away.." to "the falls drop hollow tears and the love for you from the heart of me." So lovely and so intense............the whole piece stirring! Manana, manana; this is an ongoing daily devotion of grief's process. It was a poem truly worth reading. I am so glad you wrote and shared this but sorry for the loss it was birthed from. Bless you much. kathy

Broken glass from a shattered screen, a stolen hope and a bag of dreams. Love that line. As far as structure, I never studied writing and do not know structure or form. Just write as you write with a flow that may become a new style. Valentine

Thank you for reading.
This one is really a good emotional piece of writing. It triggers the memories that is buried deep inside the heart and soul. To be in love and to be loved is a blessing. The pain that follows after losing someone whom you hold so close to your heart is unbearable. The mere thought terrifies me. Yes, with matters this personal, structure really doesn't matter.
I had an emotional read !
Take a bow not just for your writing but for the emotions that you poured into the words.

It so hard
to know someone that you know is the one
and not be able to see them everyday
and then everything becomes annoying

but i guess patience is everything
its those kind of moments that teaches the soul to wait

i love this one
because i can say i know this feeling too well
its a battle no one knows of
