She

She

A Poem by Doodley
"

In the past. Forever.

"
She laughs, She weeps,
She smiles, She leaps;
She chases all the terrors of my nightmare's far away.

She jokes, She scolds,
She quizzes, She holds;
She ushers into the darkness, the light of Summer's day.

She quivers, She sighs,
She moans, She lies;
She sings to me of love, whereupon her breast I lay.

Who is She? Thee ask of me?
Look there yonder! Cannot you see?

On a Nightingale's song, On wings of fire,
She comes this way, my sweet, Desire.

"She"
Doodley",
I do not tire of the tribute to a special loved one. Your words were a simple and honest portrayal of love lived, given and shared. "She" is obviously a great source of hope and inspiration. I noticed the above note: "In the past, forever." Time is our place of living and experiencing-discovering.
This line is a central building block:
She quivers, she sighs,
She moans, She lies'
She sings to me of love, whereupon her breast I lay."
Thanks for another great poem!

Well i feel the peace of it

I don't know why, but this line attracted me much:
"She moans, She lies;"

This poem is telling me about how "She" could be so moody, to whom you "whereupon her breast I lay".

How lovely she was/is! Lol

Thanks for sharing this poem.

Gee
She......it is she who must be obeyed or life will not be worth living,and then we have pre menstrual..a week of uncertainty,menstrual.....a week of walking on egg shells,post menstrual....a week of walking on eggshells in an uncertain manner.Now to my reckoning that takes care of 9 months of the year when us menfolk have little or no idea whether or not we are going to get slaughtered in our sleep.The remaining 3 months,if we are lucky are peaceful,loving,harmonious months,but,and this is a big but,(no not yours dear,that hasn't changed in 25 years,still peachy and pert !)only if the good lady in our lives says they are to be that way.Anyway,enjoyed the read Doodley.
