In Longing Solitude

In Longing Solitude

A Poem by Doodley
"

In a lonely moment.

"
Did the Earth explode from its ponderous sighs,
When it stared into your beautiful eyes?

Did the light fade out from the Summer's day,
When it watched you walk its path a-way?

Did the man in the moon go faint and swoon,
When you walked into his nightly room?

Did the lonely man cry out in pain,
When he knew he would not see you again?

Oh! Back to me! Thine Immortal Dove!
Caress my heart with all your Love!

For I am yours to always be,
Your cocooning tide and you my sea.

A simple piece. Not groundbreaking, but from the heart.

Any comments appreciated.

Solitude... is something which goes into my favourite times...but it's really heart rending sometimes... Feels like waiting and waiting for the right one to enter and take away this solitude...

This girl must be very lucky to have someone who thinks about her almost every time. And goes too far to write a wonderful poem for her.
Elegantly written..
