Searching For Peace

Searching For Peace

A Poem by Drama Child

Searching for Peace

I’d give all I can not to worry,

To not give stress a sound

But round the mind’s rigged edge

My thoughts jump from the ledge.

My conscience knows no bound.

Dreaming of oceans and waters deep.

Within the corals and the reef,

My toes lost in the sand

As my soul tries hard to sleep.

I still fight to push all worries aside

Like a willow hanging, I’ve cried.

A banjo keeps strumming; a car keeps humming.

And I give up, for my peace has died.

The search for peace? I believe we shall find peace rarely in a long life.

Thank You Very Much!
This speaks to me as my own personal experience for the search of peace, we all look for it everywhere but the reality is it doesn't stay for long, for some it stays a bit more than others... I like the use of those words, and the ending stanza compliments the whole poem...

Sincerely
Dhiman
