In You, I saw the colour

In You, I saw the colour

A Poem by DreamCatcher08

In You, I saw the colour,
Now in the colour, I see You,
It radiates and smothers Me,
I guess this much is true.

You fill the empty rooms,
With dresses of red and eyes of blue,
And soon the shade I turn with passion,
Will match Your dancing shoes.

I can't fill inside the lines,
Or even try to fill my mind,
With anything but the kind of pink,
You'd turn with Rosé wine.

An aura far too kind,
Only envy I can find,
And Though pink and green should never be seen,
You complimented mine.

In You, I saw the colour,
In the colour, I see You,
It radiates and smothers Me,
I guess this much is true.

I sing to loving crowds,
Of A love that's all around,
The only thing that follows me,
Is a silver line-less cloud.

If You could cast away the darkness,
With the orange of Your rising sun,
Would You own the day with me?
Or is there somewhere else You'd run?

In You, I saw the colour,
In the colour, I see You,
It radiates and smothers me,
and that's forever true.

I absolutely love this! "You fill my rooms with dresses of red and eyes of blue" that struck me very deep. This was so lovely and I've read it at least three times already! Beautiful work!
