Neglected Mind

This was written for a contest on another site, and took first place! It was a picture prompt. I had to write about the picture beside the title.

Left among the elements
Overrolled
Fading to irrelevance
Undertold

Wasting into nothing
Such a crying shame
Humbling and crushing
No one else to blame

Well above freezing, temperatures rise
Watching are hungry, desperate eyes

Hastily melting, coming undone
Oozing and dripping, starting to run

Splattering puddles, gathering glares
Ravaging hunger, clamoring stares

Victimized by negligence
Overrun
Fell to insignificance
Undersung

'Overrolled' is an awesome word - did you invent it specifically for this poem C.I.?

A steadily gathering pace - like a panic attack ensuing is how this feels.
