Three to 17

Three to 17

A Poem by Cerebriation

Three little mischievous, curious boys
Three different ages and size
Two are a handful
Too much to handle
One tired Mommy and Dad

One tired Aunt
One more boy
Two-by-two
To the mischief they go
Three plus one might as well be a hundred
Three tired parents say so

Four was enough
For a village to handle
Five should be something to see
Five to look after and chase is upon us
Six, counting Mommy-to-be

Six little mischievous boys and a girl
Seven counting them all
Seven different kinds of excitement
Six boys, come the fall

Six was only five til recent
Five has more than doubled
Five plus four, two, one, and now...
Five new kinds of trouble

Four plus one have just been added
Four kids and their dad
Three plus three, two, four, and five
Three to seventeen

Two-by-two-by-two
To the greatest of frustrations
One-by-one they blow our minds
One-by-one we raise them
