Indoctrination pt. II

Indoctrination pt. II

A Poem by Cerebriation

They tell us that our hopes and dreams
And wants and needs are lies
They tell us to embrace and love
The things that we despise

They teach us that the way we learn
Is singular among the lot
And that if it fails to resonate
Intelligent, we're not

They want us to feel stupid
They want us to be weak
They can't have us asking questions
We must listen when they speak

We must blindly fall into compliance
We mustn't wander from the crowd
We should refrain from thinking deeply
We are not to sing aloud

Our songs destroy their bottom line
Our questions are conspicuous
Our wants and needs are fallacies
Our hopes and dreams, ridiculous

Every desire you have is relative to your indivual person. If you are confused about that you might be a little too dependent on what you think people think of you.

Know no shame, find yourself without fear.

This was of nothing personal. It was actually sort of a halfway political, societal thing.
A very powerful message conveyed in an elegant manner. Thanks for sharing!
