Feather

Feather

A Poem by David Scott
"

If a feather could speak and if a man could be a feather...

"

You blow me a kiss,

I am moved.

You laugh

as I tickle your fancy.

Lips quiver

as my feather glazes a kiss.

Squirming...

the hourglass wriggles.

Delighting in gentle strokes

played teasingly

along your thighs.

You melt...

clenching at the unspoken promise,

anticipation,

smothered in weightless hovering.

Then we soar…

Infinity opens to affirmation,

yes...  yes...

You are the lifting wing,

flexing the quill of inspiration.

I am...

your feather,

flying with you to the heavens

gliding back again in bliss.

I cannot say the thought is new, David, but I like it every time, especially the way you've put it. ; )
Cute, playful, and sensually gratifying to the imagination, you've certainly put a twist on it the ladies must surely love, as every passionate-driven man wishes he'd invented the notion … LOL!

On the techy side: L9, "soar". The Free Verse is among my favorite of forms, yet (poetically) yours lacks in the structure and refinement that would otherwise make it a virtual little masterpiece, and far more enjoyable to the reader's mind's-eye. If you're interested, gimme a shout and it will be my pleasure to give it greater detail.

Whatever, I'm still smiling from the inside-out at your creative and enjoyable antics … naughty boy that you are.
Good stuff and sweet imagery, My Friend … thanks a bushel for the fun! ⁓ Richard

I just finished an edit... it was a bit sloppy to be sure.
"If a feather could speak and if a man could be a feather...' Think i've heard that before; hence the size of their families when pioneers put down roots!

Daren't note the ratio of reviews females:males - but seems the first salivate and the latter wish they'd thought of it first.. in print, that is! As ever you tackle your theme with style and an acute awareness of words off stage.

Thank you for letting me hear you voice today. :)
a very passionate piece of writing...could be romancing a woman or the muse, either way it causes us to soar to heights we cannot imagine...

and there is a sensuality to both making love and making poetry that are somewhat similar when we really think about it...

Thank you Jacob. We understand each other well I think. :)
I just had an interaction with Amy, ;-) she said, hell yeah, I love this write, then Eli, came out, and she must have loved it more than more.... When love comes to you, even when you don't are aware of it, but it overwhelms you, like you spread it out into the universe the same great way, you must be feathered :D lol

It's an earthy tickle of pure bliss, statistically in universe, the feather would be moving... further away, of no gravity rules, like in the movie, "Gravity" I saw it recentely, and this poem made me remember how it's beautiful, how light, real love and friendship must be, unforced, spontaneous, lovely, hot, great, and most of all so childish, as two in a blessed universe swirling around each other, like two dancing feathers.

Yes, that's what I got out of it dear friend of me :) I'm smiling here, I understand it, and for who this is... and with a hug-er smile on my face, I lighten a bit, weightless... but there is gravity here for me....
Winkie wink..... I must still find my wings, I thought I almost had them, but they flew away, and left me alone, but I'm sure they will be send again soon ;-)......

Can't wait till a friday ;-) hugs dear friend, for all you do to (us). And with that I mean my you know who.... ;-)
