The Moon Dreams of Being a Heart

The Moon Dreams of Being a Heart

A Poem by Sweet & Tender Hooligan
"

When you're scared of the past and of the future and you don't feel a part of the present. Then where can you turn to?

"
Bleeding hearts and weeping stars
The moon wishes to be permanently hidden,
Always looking away and not knowing who to trust.
Why is it that things always turn out this way?
Why is it that you can't trust anyone?
Nervous reflections,
Anxious shadows.
I never know which way to turn,
I never know who to turn too.
The moon dreams of being a heart because it wishes to be more than in space.
Scared of what's ahead,
Scared of what's passed.
Heartless people dream of space because they are nothing but space.
Nervous reflections,
Anxious shadows.
Maybe I should hide away forever with the moon.

The longer lines break up the other ones, wich is obviously their intention, but I think it breaks the flow of the poem almost too much. It's almost like those three lines are telling a seperate story from the rest of the poem. Although, the two come together nicely with the last longer line. Overall I think this is a great little poem. Good work

There are no obvious technical errors, which is of course always a good thing, leaves my reviews less helpful though XD

Did you draw the picture too? Because if so, you have made my artistic side hurt :P

The first line caught me... I think it reminds me of the style of Lewis carroll...
"Ancious shadows" has a nice ring to it, well written...
Love the part about heaartless people.. and the ending.

You take us on a celestial dance within the light and shadows of the moon... Mysterious and melancholy, this is filled with a bittersweet beauty...

Sometimes to have a pause is frightening, especially when we see no direction open to us....but through that pause and solitude, we can actually find a calming centre, a hermit, as such! There is always a time to reflect, excellent work love xx

Beautiful thoughts here...... I love your comparisons to people and the moon. somedays we all just feel like hiding away like the moon, from heartless people and not knowing who to trust.... but unlike the moon we do have a heart----good or bad..... we cannot hide forever, our heart won't let us give up on life just yet!!!! trust in yourself first, for you are truly the only one you can depend on and God whatever your concept of God is to be (just some of my thoughts) This poem was thought provoking and great!!!

Thought provoking, tender in that heart-sore freefall kinda way which makes the Moon such a perfect image to draw on. well done!

I love everything about this poem. I've often wondered how exactly the moon feels.
