Round Two

Round Two

A Poem by DuffyDreamer
"

This one is trash, I don't suggest reading it.

"

The illusion of love and hope became a reality. I never thought this would happen to me, it couldn’t, I wasn’t deserving.

Yet…

But the end came all too quickly. The dark abyss that seems to haunt me, enticed all that’s good to once again escape me. I was left empty but it was worse this time.

This time I knew what heaven felt like.

What being loved entailed. The depth of longing you can have for another. The bliss of human connection. But my cord is broken and I’m not a material thing. I can’t be traded in and replaced. I can’t be fixed and ready to go for round two.

I’ll never be the same.

The description brought me in to read it. Not bad, and good idea with the description. Clever "marketing".

Maybe it was intentional...maybe I believe what I said.
