Dawn

Prelude to madness, catch delusions

and promenade to the sunrise.

Morass in moonlight, contour emotions

and return of the twilight child.

Do you know the blades?

Do you know her warmth?

Good fellow dawn signs a smile

in his crown of hawthorn weeds,

he’s seated among the bile.

Do you know the light?

Do you know her wall?

Cemetery of words yet epitaph unknown

Triumphant warrior, his hubris has grown.

Scents, tastes, sounds, sights;

feelings in the cold.

She resides in the mirror, the guardian of fear

Stab the crescent palate, cascades of tears,

she has fled.

[I feel like hiding but ..]

I like it. Its like little glimpses of thoughts undone to me when I read it im taken thru a lifetime. I wish it finished with more of a discription of who she is though, it felt like she is earth a bit or someone watching all of earth mashed in together.

The poem takes place in the mind of a schizophrenic who is slowly drifting insane. Within her final grasps of reaching sanity (finding beauty in nature and finding love) she is then defeated by her pessimist split personality. I find your interpretation interesting and I appreciate your liking for my poem.

and or Twisted way but still
interesting.
