A Poem by getinthecarplease

Old charity and the gods

carve gleaming eyes from ancient sapphire

intrepid heroes fight and die in an

unearthly shadow for her honor

Parting paths in forests of wisdom, the sage has given his prayer

Dionysus wine and comfort calm the waters

to an enchanting still.

Cold zephyr echoes manifestations of life.

Return to fields of conscience

in the wake of legends and steeds.

Warming air soothes the injured

calling fire to burn their memory.

Hints of green, the crystalline edge, the mold of yesteryears passed.

Control infinite and perpetual concepts of change.

Vows of love in the twilight sky form ripples in the spring

Creatures of dusk howl songs ‘til dawn

and reap the harvest of peace.

Touch diamonds floating, the pond reflects their psalm

Relic moments forever in space and

visions of tranquility reach your face.
