City

City

A Poem by getinthecarplease

Moonless travels, silence enshrouds wispy streets
of autumn spray under auroras of emerald lamplight.
Starless meander in headlight halo
of a seldom evening rush
as few trace darkened paths.
Alehouse glow of "open" neon veins
curled in sapphire flames.
To bid excursion in euphoric cold,
twas each passerby of plaid and gray
in exit of lonesome day.
Decor of colored lanterns seemingly haul youthful echoes
which they gracefully enfold.
To bid tour of city cosmos under cascades of indigo clouds,
tis where each cynic resides in their warm winter shrouds.

A great sense of language and an image outside a bar on a cold dark night. I feel it, but had to read a few times to see it, preserve the strength of your last line. It's moonless, its starless and then its under cascades of indigo? Has time passed, is there more? Let me know. Best.
