What Now?

What do you do when life spirals out of control?

When everything you had shatters to pieces,

And falls to the ground to be lost forever.

How do you pick up the pieces and start anew,

When the life you had was all you wanted.

To move on, you must forget.

And to forget, you must leave the memories behind.

But, the memories are a part of you,

So you must learn to leave part of yourself behind.

And when there is nothing left of you to leave behind,

But a shell of what once was,

There is only one question that remains:

What now?
