My Legacy

I wanted to write something profound,

Something that would change your life forever,

And during my exertion of thought,

I have realized that I am nothing

I am nothing but an infinitesimal speck,

In the vastness that is our universe.

I can not change my size in the world

For size is the one thing that defeats man

And I will forever be tiny and insignificant,

Not play a role of any importance.

Unless…

Unless enough people hear me,

Enough hear my words

And remember my name

Then maybe, just maybe

I will have mattered.

For man’s greatest fear is not death,

It is knowing that the world will be no different

When he is gone.

My legacy is now in your hands,
