The Last Few Years!

The Last Few Years!

A Poem by DIANA WILBANKS
"

This is a true poem about a time phase in my life, pray you do enjoy it!...God Bless you..!

"

Sometime I sit remembering,
Over my last few years.
The pain in my heart begins piercing.
'Lord I kneel before you,in tears'!

I pray you please console me.
Come comfort now,they're with you.
I'm sure their home is heaven, you see,
'Please come for me Lord, someday too'!

In 2003,faced much anguish.
You took Dads hand,It hurt so bad.
My emotions,I couldn't distinguish.
'Am I mad Lord,or just very sad'?

Then in 2004,you came once more,
My little granddaughters time to soar.
Perfect she became in your home above,
'Thank you Lord for our time and her love'.

2005,I thought,'this is the end'!
Loss of my husband..my best friend.
Struggling hard now,to only get by,
'Not a single day my Lord,do I not cry'.

Fighting to remain strong, surrendered all to you.
Having plenty of faith and worship you 'I do',
Made you my guide,my path, help me to choose.
'Someday your return Oh Lord ,
will transcend life( for me) brand new'!!

Dear Diana, I am so sorry to read about your loss. I only hope that by sharing your sorrow, you somehow find some sort of comfort in knowing that so many others feel these same types of feelings, and that you are helping them put into words, their anguish as well.

Bless you friend.
May the memories of your loved ones keep you always.

I am so sorry for you loss. Extremely heartfelt and beautifully written piece! As I was reading, I was thinking how much more can one person take, but as I read I found strength in your words. I loved the sound of your voice in this piece. Very beautifully spoken and extremely touching!
