Lake SnowA Poem by Earl SchumackerOn The LakeLake Snow
When snow falls like leaves through liquid Sunshine abstractions slow on lakes recline Soundless for the first time in their tiny lives Cold but never bitter as they drift That is when light lifts them bold To fill in the missing particles Sparkled in their turn as they float down Transformed translucence as a mystery There to blend in with waters of the lake Carried off without mistake © 2017 Earl SchumackerReviews
