Talk to the hand

Yanny And Laurel Rise

An ambiguous scratch comes on the face of reason
A sample of the universe hard wired to a voice
Mechanical in nature paying homage to its maker
Perhaps an internet connection or a ghost in the machinery
Gone wrong, gone haywire to the audible illusion of the truth

A misdirection of two words become confused
Go lost on streams of consciousness as blank
Something said that can not be repeated
A word escapes to have another fill its place
I guess we'll never know which one is fake

A static sound heard in the void as noise
A distortion generated by an accident
A girl says “Laurel” so what is that?
Some deconstructed fragmentation
A figment of the imagination
Yanny and Laurel rise

Lost in a fog the mind fills in the cracks
Do not trust the ear for what it hears
Next time speak to the hand
It is sure to understand the facts
