The illustrious game of decent

The illustrious game of decent

A Poem by Ed Rector

The dusk has settled and around the borders of illusion
The souls they devour me like a roller coaster
brings me high and touches the moon
but you come spiraling down away from me
and i hang my head low to the power of the dream
Should i dine in ecstasy though it may be evil
I must conquer evil and slay the wicked
another dream cut short by the garter black
why should heaven be cause i can not see it
the tretchery on my soul is i have lost you more
then any other Bangladeshi tiger in Singapore
And although i've seen the wicked
praising shadows more than ghosts of amore'
I stay in-tune with the whispering winds
