I don't believe

I don't believe

A Poem by Tara
"

I don't believe

"
I don't believe that what I see
Is all that there is
I don't believe that we are superior
As a human race
I don't believe that fear is bad
When it can stop you walking into danger
I don't believe that there is a simple answer to anything
Or that would be too easy
I don't believe that lying is necessarily bad
When telling someone "It'll be okay" is the lie
I don't believe in love at first sight
But I do think that there is someone perfect for you
I don't believe violence is the answer
But sometimes it's the only way
I don't believe that there is more evil than good
It's just harder to find the latter
I don't believe that the dead are gone forever
But where they're gone I do not know
I don't believe a higher power will judge us
We will judge ourselves and see each other as what we are
Now let me tell you what I do believe
I believe in what I see fit, what I want to believe
And if everyone could accept people for what they are
The world would be a much better place
