Into the Moonlight

The sun sets

the moon rises

I lay in bed

pondering away

 

What will happen

if i walk into the moonlight?

I ask myself this

for the need to do this.

 

Grab my coat

put on shoes

close the door

and walk into the moonlight.

 

I feel a sensation

that feels strong inside me

I look in the direction

that my senses follow.

 

I look at the moon

in that direction I follow

tonight will be full of horror

for it is full.

 

The sensation grew stronger

from head to toe

I start to change

into the monster I was meant to be.

 

I was designed to kill

to bite, to shred

running on fours

i run into the moonlight.
