Devoted Demodicid

A Poem by EdwardBlue

Do the mites that live on the surface of my skin, know that their living on me ?
Everything that gives them life their food ,their home, their land .
Comes from a person not so bright . He's just a foolish man.
Generations live and die on me, Wonders do abound !
Kingdoms, cities come and go All without a sound !
Do they wonder who their living on ? Do they know that I'm alive ?
Do they know that I'm their living earth , not a static hive.
Do they think that I'm a living  god?  Do they pray to me at night?
I have never heard a single word  trying as I might.
Grateful comes across me, that we live such separate lives.
if they were to be aware of me, and looked to me as God ,
I'd wouldn't have one one answer for them for I am ,but a fraud.

What an unusual write, though I felt a curious unity that you were expressing. I may be wrong, but if felt like you were exploring some of the deeper truths of nature in this write, well done.

The mites will always inhabit your skin somehow,
And I think they like it pretty much,
If not they wouldn't choose your skin or pillow ;)
If eternal small creatures
Indeed are conceivable as little gods
To improve your resistance,
To return to the impermanence of each one...
To dust, and they bring your
Philosophical thoughts of the mind ...
Exactly into wondering, but also trust...

Very interesting piece! keep on penning... :)
