Discontent

A Poem by Effewe
"

Totally random thoughts that popped in my head one day. I mean, there's a theme, but I have no clue as to how/why these words came to me.

"

Crimson soaked dreams
ravage his slumber and
Dank is the pillow
on which his head rests.

There, in his nightmare
demons are faced which
are typically caged
while in her presence.

Ripe from his chest
his heart just torn
by a dark memory that
he will not soon escape.

In horror he awakes
and turns to his bride
A terrible secret kept
He can no longer hide

Sweaty palms show her
the words he cannot utter
Her soul is a tundra
frozen by lust of another.

This is the only one I have handy here at work. I forgot to grab the rest of my stuff yesterday. I hope to put a few more on this evening if the kids grant me time.
