My senses coming alive

My senses coming alive

A Poem by EileenMarie

Heavy grey clouds fill the sky outside from where I am.

The wind blows effortless shaking the weakest leaves into the open space

Fall has arrived faster than I was prepared for

I sit staring blankly out the window,

knowing I need to finish what I am doing

Looking outside and longing to be with nature is where I would rather be.

Hearing the sounds of the city day hard at work,

Smelling the faint scents of a city that is alive,

Touching the air as it strongly blows my hair in many directions

Seeing the hustle and bustle of the people places and things, all in motion

Tasting the city as I breathe each breath while I walk along,

Ahh……………Boston is beautiful any time of year especially when you're outside.

Relatable, for me. I adore each and every season. Well done. One thing: second to last line, your should be you're. Nevertheless a simple and lovely poem. Felt good to read it, haven't seen anything posted by you in a while.

Keep doing what you're doing,
Savannah
