I'm Someone Else

I'm Someone Else

A Poem by Marcus Medrano

I'm someone else now

and i don't mind it

i grew

and you're uninvited

I’m someone else now

but i don't feel like this person left

perhaps they stood to the side

and waited for me to earn the right to my crest

I'm someone else now

I went under misguidance

to try and revive it

but i cant fight it

what we had just left

and now i feel uninvited

I'm someone else now

and you wont tell me what my limitations are

I’m someone else now

and even if we were to get together, would we even go far?
