Paradox

Paradox

A Poem by E.G. James

I wanna pour my heart out
But I hold it in and never shout
I might not tell it all
But still I am far from a liar
I hide in lonely spaces
I don't do well in crowded places
Yes I'm cautious and careful
And I still get burnt by the fire
You hear what I say but never listen
We are here but respect is missing
At least we still have love
But it's not enough

In a paradox a paradox
It's so unreal
In a paradox this has got to stop
I no longer know what to feel
In a paradox

And if I did something wrong
I need you to remind me I'm strong
When I smile know when it's real
Because I fake too often
Easy days were not in my cards
How I wish I could live with the stars
I could tell you what I feel
I don't know where to begin
I know what you want but I can't give it
We all sin so I can't be perfect
You want more than my best
Just give it a rest

In a paradox a paradox
It's so unreal
In a paradox this has got to stop
I no longer know what to feel
In a paradox

Hello there, I admire how you arrange your thoughts and your flow is quite good. However, it needs a little proofreading. For further details, I will send you a message. Good job! Keep writing. :-)
