Our RoseA Poem by Elise PehrsonThis poem is for someone I was in a relationship with that was going too fastA rose Just starting to awaken To bloom Slowly Opening its gentle red petals. Why can't it grow faster? Why can't time allow the flower to bloom?
We pry at the petals Forcing it open Stop. The flower is falling a part Wait. Watch, the petals will flow Outward On their own.
Let time take its course Enjoy the beauty of blooming Red rose. As it blooms on its own How gorgeous. © 2011 Elise Pehrson |
