GoneA Poem by Elise PehrsonFor that same oneThe window by my bed frame keeps fogging up with dust The ring you gave me long ago keeps building up the rust.
And as I lie here silently I think about the days When you and I were hopelessly deep in love, within a haze.
We laughed and kissed, having so much fun becoming the best of friends Never even imagining That it might all come to an end.
We'd talk about our future always making plans of when would be the perfect time for you to take my hand.
We used to talk it over while lying in the grass, but we didn't know that all of this would just become our past.
And now I lie here all alone while seasons come and go, The only constant thought I hold, is our love that started in the snow.
